Routes

Despite what you've done,
I harbor no resentment
here in my bruised heart.

Acceptance
hurts.
But not as much
as carrying the weight of anger.
Bitterness is a heavy cloak
I've never chosen to wear.

Even in my aching moments,
I only hope your fragile wings
will one day have the strength to fly.

I too, am testing my own strength,
and finding my own course in life.

when we become interlaced with another, separation is usually complicated, like trying to untangle each strand in a pile of vines that creeps up the side of your house......even if we wanted to only thin them, we would inevitably kill a few we may have wanted to leave alone.....

letting go is essential to survival.....letting go of anger, grudges.....
they will ultimately do more harm than the breakup........tender work, lucy
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
