locked in my house, rain tangoing sideways
mind wandering to an oxbow lake
settling upon what it spent eons on
it weaved and relaxed, set back in the pillow
and settled like a child in the night
dead end roads and cul de sac daily
mouth watering chances, sojourns in the dark
dankness surrounds me in my pleatherette comfort
comforted still, my eyes close and see night
can't change what i do, and some of what i did
can't change anything but determined and right
in this dark starred day of hope and foreshadow
my mouth doesn't smile but the rest does tonight
Rainy Day

Really wonderful, knip. It is raining drips and drops here right now, really fits the mood of the poem... I love, LOVE rainy days, storms, mists and fogs, closed into myself with three purring cats ... Sue♥♥♥
