Him.

Post by bethany » October 7th, 2010, 3:34 pm

Different time; same place.
Different place; same time.
Same feelings; different words.
Same words; different feelings.

It's all been done before.
It's all just been heart's galore.
Someone get hurt in the end.
But they're too young to know, my friend.

We smile in the darkness,
and we don't open our eyes.
We don't know what's happening,
but it just feels so right.

You kiss me; I smile.
My heart goes wild.
If it's right right now...
then it can't be that wrong.

We smile in the darkness.
I love the look in your eyes.
I know that this is happening,
and it feels so right.

You tell me that you love me,
Then promise it's not wrong.
It was the dance that lasted a lifetime, but ended in an eye-blink.

We smile in the darkness.
I love the look in your eyes.

Then promise it's not wrong.
in the dark, eyes shut...
but don't we love what
we hope we'd see
in you and me
reflected on each other's eyes
if sleeper dreams weren't truly lies?

live for today seems like a healthy approach given the unpredictability of life
which at the moment seems more unpredictable than ever before .....for americans we were told to carefully plan, get our portfolios up to snuff,
misled I'd say by the promises of guaranteed wealth and the "security" that comes with it.....my approach is day to day......appreciate the love you are given, and give a little back.....I like your poem, it's simple honesty goes a long way....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I believe that simple honesty is all you need sometimes, even if it's not always what you want to hear.

I love that. "We love what we hope we'd see..."

Makes you ponder.

Great quote.

Another great piece of writing. Thank you Bethany. You have reminded me of what joy there is in being young and in love.

You remind me that I, too, have seen smiles and eyes in darkness. jim
