and god shall descend
and unto the wicked be sudden woe
to those who massed armies against his
chosen one, and they shall be eviscerated
where they stand, in a fire of desert wind
sudden fire of revelation
and jesus went into the desert to pray
asked god to forgive them, for they know not
when they ripped open atoms, it was possible
to blow toxic sand clean across a continuum
the trinity crater, bikini atoll, impatient
the prophets laid down their words
church, part 42

Re: church, part 42
When pieces of rivers upendeth our way
and bridges collapse to their trolls—
whatever the lot that we’ve brought on ourselves,
let it teach: we aren’t well in our souls.
So, Love, haste the day when what’s left turns aright
and perhaps let it come like the stroll
you once took in Eden before we turned out
to strike out on our own miscontrol.
and bridges collapse to their trolls—
whatever the lot that we’ve brought on ourselves,
let it teach: we aren’t well in our souls.
So, Love, haste the day when what’s left turns aright
and perhaps let it come like the stroll
you once took in Eden before we turned out
to strike out on our own miscontrol.

the sanctuary
shook with his tremolo rage
rage and elation, to be swept away
from ourselves, the only way to glory
from our own end game
and we beat a path
our own manifest destiny
through motherland africa
the killing prairies of dakota
the bombed out cathedrals
the leveled cities of rising sun
the toxic orange rice paddies
the shrunken, nuclear oceans
the base untruth of our truths
we handed our bibles to the lost
bound and shackled, into slavery
finger on a button, no other way
the big war is coming, must come
and the place shook with his rage
and god so loved the world
shook with his tremolo rage
rage and elation, to be swept away
from ourselves, the only way to glory
from our own end game
and we beat a path
our own manifest destiny

And the deeds men do, have all been done before.
Not so much a cycle, but a progression.
We can never turn back, it's a oneway path...

preachers and psychotropic scholars
street corner wailers with cardboard signs
mayans and zion, the numbers etched in rock
wild visions written, the seven seals revealed
all point to the coming singularity point
the end of a cycle, but of what?
it can't get here soon enough
and it will get here on our own time
no matter how we try to speed it up
the end of the world, gunning for it
making war, cutting corners, please
get here, deliver the faithful
