I, in response to one of Jim Turner's verses, wrote:Saint Matthew 19:26, alt.

But Jesus beheld them,
and said unto them,
With men, women, this is impassible;
but with God all things are passible.

When Jesus, rather, set his mind on them
and from his thoughts a word began to form,
he didn’t speak in prophecies of warm
adventures in the New Jerusalem
like some enlightened humanistic gem
of personhood’s potential—no, the storm
of Jesus’ uncalmed thoughts taught something normative
about this human life, condemning
dead philosophies of changelessness,
both mortal and divine. "Impassible,
humanity—quite passible is Love,"
he shared a truth of human agelessess.
We always push for what is graspable
and always it is Love that has to move.

There's no better or worse in art, only different perspectives and varied angles.

Here's to teammates over competitors!

Another beautiful poem, Joel, and you are quite right. Of course Jim meant to pay you a compliment, but poets are not boxers, as a famous Argentine poet declared, on refusing to take part in competitions. We write tp share, never to excell over others!

My Shakepeare Man. Another gem.

We always, using words, risk confusion. Passible does not mean possible; impassible does not mean impossible. The poet can only hope that readers know what words mean. Thus, when I say "Merry Christmas!" it does not mean that I think everybody who hears me is a Christian. It merely means that I hope, at this time of year, whoever hears me will be happy. Thanks, Joel. You inspire thought. Jim
