like flame the thoughts came
wild and cracking, she swept the flames from her heart
her father s face, his sad and broken
mind that held so tightly to all the things
that had him held hostage
he was a preacher, see
ranting about Bahai this, and the women that stole his heart, unconditional love
was all about control
maybe he had an in with the higher spiritual realm
i had to go to when he was young
his twin brother and father died
a young man, confused
selling the family sacreds drunk
leaving his daughter and wife
to be an actor
he was an actor on a motorcycle
a rapist,vampire,and handsome guy
that didnt really fly
maybe in live and let die
i was the daughter
he drunkenly sang at
brought crazy people home from the bar
over at the bar
he was a star
i grew up thinking nothing was real
was never quite sure how to feel
the moon over los angeles
was a movie set
i feel the long spaghetti like starnds of a man trying to pull energy from my feet
or where they sewed an eagle feather in my arm
the tatoo, like small atoms circling around my head
small increments of a life moving forwards
away from the past
bar stools and family
husbands and infidelity
forgiveness would mean that i let all of this go
why does it have to be so slow?

forgiveness
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Humbl-ing
Re: forgiveness
making art out of a lousy life and making it done well that is what saves. Excellent.

Re: forgiveness
a rolling movie of the complications associated with merely living...our stories have more similarities than differences in the end....kids trying to make sense of this world that doesn't come with an instruction manual....we give, we take.....smile, cry.....we don't normally go looking for trouble, but it always finds us anyway......you're poems of life ring true.....
