Waiting Room

Post by Artguy » March 22nd, 2011, 9:02 am

Sitting in a Dr.'s waiting room
Time
Life
National Geographic
TV too
Nah none of that for me
From my communist bag
Emblazoned with Mao's red star
reach in deep
past the Kerouac
Patti Smith
Baudelaire
Ginsberg too
Pull a rabbit from my hat
Nothing up my sleeve
A small Orange covered tome pf pomes
From far away Kibbutz
Fragrant orange blossoms
I chew on my ego long and hard
The Dr. calls my name...

I opened up an orange for a verse
and plucked each copper penny from its purse
to read the limericks
I'd buy with lip-smack-licks
of funds our sweet exchange would reimburse.
