Feminacity

Post by saw » March 30th, 2011, 11:50 am

Plutonium eagles
cannot soar
radioactive frogs
croakless,
the colors of familiar things
have changed
cows are blue, horses purple
grandmothers
are now arrested,
imprisoned for loving,
I'm told by the TV

they have dangerous big
mouths
at the nuclear plant
their signs offend
the gods of commerce,
the self elected lords
of the planet,
the hunger is real
it's in the bellies of children
the hunger is real
it's in the eyes of mothers

the hunger boils
in the water of tribal fires
the hunger is ready
it is willing,
to take on the beasts,
the hunger will not be silenced
so easily,
it's in the hearts and minds
of warrior women
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

these issues will demand our blood,
from the guilty, and the innoscent...
old mother will uphold her wisdom,
and soon teach us responsibility,
but I don't think the end is near,
just another beginning
