musing on the possibility of life

Post by saw » April 29th, 2011, 8:30 am

forget about the wars
for a new york minute
the religion, the economy
the red and blue states

what if today I stun you
with my language, would this
be an appropriate pathway to awakening
you from your self-induced tv coma,
I'm just sayin'.....

as they say these days
on the streets of the unemployed,
but how' about, for a few hours
you immerse yourself in a bath
of penetrating words
which is, as you know, a superb conductor

sink down in my articulated tub
the electricity sparking in calcified bones
the apnea mind shaking like an aspen leaf,
then wrapping you up in a Turkish towel
of poetry and scenes from the sheer overlook

those vistas unimagined when you get
stuck in real time google earth, what if
I patted you dry, ran my fingers
over your temples, kissed your neck
nibbled on things, hey, what if I guessed your name

is it Rumpelstiltskin ?
comrade, friend, amigo, old bean
peer, queer, dear, Kareem
brother, lover, mother, other
sister, mister, Nester, jester ?

how 'bout I call you countryman
and you lend me your ears
at a reasonable negotiable price
how 'bout tunin' me in to the digital
signal spinning round in your eyes

could your new clear vision
now see my moving lips
would you surmise from this,
that I have been trying to reach you
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

This is superb...a quality call, vero vocatio ad mundum (in my made-up classique).
