gray muzzle

Post by jota » February 27th, 2005, 12:32 am

he's going gray and white
on the underside of his snout
this mad mutt of mine
three dogs long
and a half dog tall

he's going gray and white
still he laughs
big head out the window
grinning mutt
tongue hanging out
sniffing the wind

what the hell does he smell?
him and his giant snout
filled with crocodile teeth

he's going gray and white
maybe a year from now
all white
I hope he's still around
this mutt of mine

he's the only dog I ever had
that laughed with his eyes
like he secretly could fly
around the room
with those long soft ears of his
so long as nobody else was around

you are such a fine fucking poet

my tongue is hanging out

and my eyes are laughing

surprise, surprise
the eyes of the
dog do hypnotze
and it is more than
a dream, the thoughts
we glean from our best
friends....................

hello jota

i liked your poem. i really should write a poem about my dog. but he's such a cheeky toddler of a dog he'd take the poem from my hand, rip it on the floor and laugh with his eyes so I'd have to start again.
well I write music review so I do:

a dog flies around the room
while pretending to be earthbound
we who always fly, let our tail take off

What a lovely, sweet, happy, funny, bittersweet poem.

I love dogs. I have two.

I really enjoyed this read...
those gray muzzles, those loving eyes
they'll get you every time.

Nice to meet you. :)

"three dogs long
and a half dog tall"
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse
