I'll pretend if you like
this link of ours is ordinary
and you can make a clever remark
to support my fantasy
we can sing old songs
in any key you choose, we can
step out into the sky, nibble on ears
and nimbus biscuits, wash it all down
with the potent spirits of planetary euphoria
you and I, neo-romance protagonists,
we can play harmonica duets, discuss
the merits of Jim Morrison's poetry
listen to Van Morrison, no relation
we'll strut our own moondance
won't need a cosmic conductor
with an electromagnetic baton
we can make the twilight zone
nothing to fear,
a garden of more
than the anticipated climax
goodbye to ordinary
goodbye to ordinary
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading

The poem is the shape of a vase or urn?

thanx fellow poets, enjoyed your comments....we write to connect with others for the most part, .....beyond our purely egotistical ones that hitchhike like a tiny stowaways.....again, mucho thanx.......
