Your beauty is a foreign language.

Post by joel » August 14th, 2011, 2:09 pm

Your beauty is a foreign language. You
communicate intangibility
like tiny birds who whistle once and dart
away forever, never letting their
improvisation scat be catalogued
like lovesongs overplayed in stereo.
Your beauty is a tongue I don’t possess
within my mouth; I love it nonetheless.
I love you—love you for the cameo
appearances you master in the fogged
and frazzled play I stage. Your life is where
I fall in love; your love is where my heart
will fall in life: with you’s the sole ability
to be the whole that’s never fallen through.

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
