Hunters Blind

Post by Lani » November 27th, 2011, 8:32 pm

Hunters are too blind
to see or know they are being unkind.
All energy is connected and Life is sacred in God's eyes
and mine.
But those who choose to kill and take life without reason
are blind
to this truth.
Live and let live
is the Law they wish their lives be considered
yet they will not extend the same courtesy
to nature's wild creatures
who are of their own lives deserving.

Who gave you a gun
and a desire to dominate
and kill
God's good creation
for sport or for pleasure
when it's life in situ
which should be treasured?

Man no longer needs to kill for food...
we have supermarkets well stocked
with every imagineable, edible thing
around every corner
just waiting to be shopped.

So there is no excuse
with gun in hand
for hunters to descend upon the land
with intention to take the lives
of nature's good creatures
who live there innocently
and have every reason to be there
while Mr. Hunter has none!

Put down your gun
killing is not fun!
Why don't you become someone
worthy of my attention?
and not just another son of a gun!

Caring for all creatures
we should be
as above... so below...
is Heaven on earth,
that we know.

Please!
Stop the killing
and live in peace
we have this last chance
to karma release.
Be still and know I am God...

I´m in the process in wich it´s somehow sick for me to cook meat myself but I don´t have problems eating meat cooked by others in open spaces ... it´s odd... each person have its own processes and cultural contexts to deal with, I guess!. I enjoyed your beautiful poetic advice, gracias!!!!! :)

I appreciate your comment~ You can probably guess I'm a vegetarian- or more accurately- pescetarian (sp) We eat fish! I don't mean to be judgmental, but we get Hunters coming in across our Lake to shoot at the ducks- and back in the woods to shoot the deer... and I do get upset about it. Poor things~
Be still and know I am God...
