me and Albert were drinking again
last night and it was then he told me,
"the most beautiful emotion we can
experience is the mysterious,
it is the fundamental foundation stone
that stands in the delivery room
of all that is true, be it science, or be it
art, yes I am a scientist but why does
everyone assume that I am without religion
in the shadows of all experiences there is
something whose beauty and sublimity
reaches us by hocus pocus, and he to whom
emotion is nothing but a wandering stranger,
he who no longer stands in awe of the unknown,
he who always requires proof of purchase,
that man is as good as dead, a candle in the wind
look old friend, there are many wonders
our minds will never directly touch, this is
religiousness, and to that end
I am a Devoutly-religious man."
Einstein
Re: Einstein
something i briefly wrote about in my book-- the unknown, or mystery, the wonder of it, vs. "the machine(s) of definition" -- like when i discovered google maps satellite image scrolling-- those desert places i went not so be seen, suddenly on-screen...
that would be a trip . . . drinking with einstein. if i got buzzed enough, at some point i would probably say something like "yeah, nice theory einstein" ...
(sorry).

Re: Einstein
I wandering stranger of the unknown
like a gypsy moth to the candle flame
blowin' in the wind my friend
if the smartest mind could tell
us you cannot plan for war
and end it at the same time
then I can write poems
that always look for the mystery
where you never expect it

Re: Einstein
If you meet Einstein on the road kill him.
I tripped with him once. I asked him for the answer to "life the universe and everything" He said, "It beats me."
pardon the personal ramble
