Portrait on a Dead man

Post by judih » March 4th, 2005, 10:23 am

Purple radiance eating his face
our acrylic brush covered him in orange and pink
It was only sunset which could distract
the man was fading fast
dead these past 30 years

Still held aloft upon bionic legs
the flesh consumed in the lamplight
we poured on another coat
jackson pollock rainstorm
and still the man smiled in streaked approval

when blacklight painted a gloomy portrait
of rosy neon on black grounding

he faded
covered in grapefruit pastel
and crazy glow
illuminated by a neon sunset
of indifference wrapped in mourning

I smiled while reading this.

Love those last two lines the best
jackson pollock rainstorm
and still the man smiled in streaked approval
Reminds me of Bennie and his new avatar.
I think you could pour paint allover Bennie and he'd smile in streaked approval. What d'ya think?

I really like that "streaked approval" I think I may have felt "streaked approval". I know I'm enjoying saying "streaked approval". :D

Okay, I'm leaving now. :) Thanks Judih.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse
