late last night enjoying the quiet spaces of your heart
finding images and thoughts to include the construct of feeling
the existing impressions of an age ... expressing the time
of its happening ... you light a candle to express the shadows
that have appeared ... and the dim awareness of something
present as if the subtle aspect of your soul is dreaming
about a future without sorrow or suffering as if a sunny
day on an island and sand and beach far removed from
any semblance of 'so called' civilization ... was in the wanting
and desire to complete oneself and return again to the source
and metaphor to express the simplicity of it all ... as if the
future was about a return to something less abstract
less fake ... and more you and more me ... more of each
other ... together as an answer for the expression of ourselves
in the being and becoming of a language that we speak
in the secret of ourselves as much as the explicit remembrances
of time and how it all passed between us as an ocean of detail
and forgotten dinners of chicken legs and disappearing onto
a rock to forget 'why'
