ghosts of the cup

Post by the mingo » May 31st, 2012, 11:35 am

ghosts of the cup
eat & drink & dazzle & away
the lips that heal ice with melt
mimic home
or sex
or you
this morning that poses
a which
or up
with all its green is
not a lie but a rhythm
a low growl in the heart
that anyone can feel
& for sure is as true
for the prisoner
as it is
for the sky
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Jana - I did several of these all at once the same day. I'm posting one for you here. Thx for asking - these works resulted from a new way for me to deal with composing or the act itself of writing, or perhaps the act of inspiration. A kind of discovery of the unrealized poems in people and things ... I had a great deal of enjoyment & surprise from it & intend on exploring it further.

Near Music

at arm distance - another care
with bread between

the dance that fascinates
holds the evening & the innocent together
dares to call it peace & a mother moment

when the bread is gone
life sometimes goes chocolate with a please

& a woman can say "remember"
one voice for two
before any can distinguish the evil
from the good

what cuts through often enough
is a sad river
whose waters are full
of near to music
