i walked into the sea of dreaming like the locust eaters of ancient venicians
learning to drive a horse chariot in the dance of cats in the geraniums
i feathered my existence through a wall of chewing on lizards
i honoured the past in the light of my forgetting to include the size of my raindrops
i found the summer's sun in the weathered portions of particles that spoke in rhyme
lifting unto the desert a brand new afternoon with eating tomatoes and cucumbers for breakfast
breakfast in the afternoon
i ran out of metaphors because my skin turned red in the amber orange peels of life
that dried like an ice cream in the thunder of a rainstorm
where clouds no longer existed
we created a sky made of pearls and stones
that turned white for the repose and redress of marble statues
bumping heads with an oil cloth and other tapestries that were painted
to resemble the sea
and
...
all the exciting things that make up for a hot summer's sun that dried in the salt of sardines
