MOIRA AT THE HAMBURG BASE CAMP.

Post by dadio » December 29th, 2012, 3:41 am

At the base camp
in Hamburg
at one of the mobile
burger bars

Moira stood with a Coke
in one hand
and a hotdog in the other
her features screwed up

as if some one
had pinched
a cheek of her arse
if that fucking Yank

talks about the boyfriends
she had anymore
I’ll ram a hotdog
in her wide gob

Moira said
between bites
giving you the stare
as you took

a bite from your burger
the can of beer
cold in your hand
the smell of burning

and smoke
filling your nostrils
she’s not stopped gabbing
since she got on

the mini bus
off to one side
a radio was blaring Led Zeppelin
over loud speakers

and in the showers
she was gaping at me
and she said I was overweight
the skinny arsed bitch

you noticed
a piece of sausage
take flight
from the corner

of her mouth
as she spoke
and as her words flowed
she jabbed a finger out

as if gesturing rude signals
to passersby
do you like her?
she asked

the Yank?
you swallowed
your mouthful
remembering your aunt

saying to you
as a small boy
don’t talk
with your mouth full

people don’t want to know
what you’re eating
a bit loud
you said

too thin
for my liking
and as you spoke
you imagined the Yank

disrobed
of her leather jeans
and jacket
and white tee shirt

down to her flimsy underwear
her small tits
held in place
by a minute bra

her thin limbs
beckoning you
I mean
would you fancy her?

Moira said
breaking into
your thoughts
pushing the Yank aside

not that I’d get a look in
you said
but no not really
and Moira managed

to find the art of smiling
before taking a gulp
of her coke
I told my brother Billy

to give her a wide berth
Moira added
the bubbles
of the coke

made her eyes water
and her mouth
released a loud burp
the sky was darkening

the stars and moon
competed with the lights
from the burger bars
and arc lamps

the Led Zeppelin song
fading into the night
a final guitar whine
and you gaping

at Moira’s breasts
as they pushed their way
against her black tee shirt
as she raised the coke

and you recalling
your aunt’s words
to you as a boy
don’t stare

it’s rude to stare
and as much
as you loved your aunt
and her countryside wisdom

at that moment
as you took in the tits
pushing through cloth
you just didn’t care.
