LIGHTNING
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
Re: LIGHTENING
Very creative and enjoyable.

Thanks for posting your creative writing tribute.
Out of respect for his name, I corrected the spelling for you. It is "Lightning" .... You spelled it "Lightening".

Re: LIGHTNING
Thank you for writing that CS. I think it is the best thing I have read for Clay since he walked over that line.
He lived a full life,i wish it could have been longer but even so he left no chindi to trouble the living and I still feel his presence and it is friendly, kind of like those cool cats from the Naropa school of disembodied poetics. I find myself listening to more of his music and reading his poems, more now that he has gone,
I miss him too, wish we could have met up we were only two hundred and seventy miles apart. But I did get to talk to him on the phone a few times.
I wonder if I will think of him every time I see a lightning bolt flash across the big Texas sky. He got that user name from the number of times he was nearly hit by lightning, he told some spooky stories about that>
I have search for them though.<
from the Navajo*

According to Navajo tradition, when a person is born the principle of life—breath or "wind"—is put in the body by the Holy People. At death, the "wind" emerges from the spirals of the fingertips and becomes a chindi. Infants who die very young and the elderly who have lived a long and full life do not produce chindi. Interestingly, some infants who die very young are "buried" in trees.

fine work c-soul....a freight train of emotion rumbling down the tracks of a good man....and a good life....he was always so honest and pleasant and creative in all of our exchanges...and i mean to go back and read some of them, and possibly resurrect a few and post them....great writer and person.
