it's late afternoon on a rainy day
after reading some exupery with enthusiastic
explanations about delivering the mail

the library itself a place of quiescence and repose
for time to read and travel in the wordings
of literary pursuits

and writing notes to oneself while flying
scribbled almost cryptically fashioned
by the model of the stars and sky

as if society becomes the small realizations
of provincial tastes and the bickering of politicians
over a misplaced letterhead

or an expense account to relate the overpriced
lifestyles of otherwise kind and intelligent people
in the absence of their own self reflection

who wouldn't want a holiday in this delirious forum
of blame to obfuscate one's own liability
or to resolve that which is the root of the cause

the mumblings of a gross indulgence
and how it seems that it is the philosophy
of anarchists who lack accountability
and the want for its absence

on the proclamations of inherent rights and freedoms
as to say ... to live lawless and as outlaws
in the ideology of 'freedom'

as to say that law is what imprisons us
and not that which sets us free

that government in the accounting of rights
and freedoms is the problem

rights and freedoms are more of an alleged 'reality'
dictated by the worship of a gun ... said to be the 'real'
world

it is their right, inheritance or even entitlement
to live as Alice In Wonderland as rationalists
of a kind of jingoism that is dictated by their
resemblance

the Wonderland of their own making
as much as their own illiteracy

and even to say
their own gregarious embarassment
