the library chilli soup

Post by sweetwater » June 14th, 2013, 4:22 pm

having nothing to do for the rest of my weekend experience
but to sip slowly on extra dry wine and make fun of myself
and to avoid the interrogation of my famous octagenarians
who are wondering where i have hid their slippers
i need to keep myself busy by doing little things around the house
keeps me from having to wash the dishes
i venture to the sound of an alto sax and wah effect and phaser
recently
circumscribe the evidence of being
into
languishing moments
of missing you thoughtfully
almost poetically ... though i haven't really much to say
these days
or that the walk of a sunny afternoon keeps the silence
of tomorrow in the rhythm and dance of a half moon
and kisses like a soft rain become more as the warmth
of a morning smile in the clear of day and the soft lighted
evening
as i sit in the cooling shade of blues jazz shapings
of an altogether miraculous discovery

of how lost i am in time
and loving it in the memory of your cranberry kisses

Great nuances in the handling of ordinary chores...
Memories are like snapshots in one's mind...
Thanks for this, Sweetwater.
