highways that reach forever

of a country setting

like ships that dock as metaphors
and numbers to include the sight
of land

knots that are as much tied
as much felt as the wind

rivers that sing songs
moons that cry
clouds that disappear
and write poetry

and i don't know what

"being begotten not made
the inference of that which you did not

means but it makes me feel alive. i especially dig the line "you did not/create yourself in the earth of/your love" wowzers!
