in a world of suspicion
i walked around with
my zap gun glued to my hip
not one to buy into delusions
of increased activity, i kept
a wary eye on these wiley
creatures from the electronic
bowels where pure capitalismo
dwells

never one to accept the party
line i moved along ready to fight
or even turn and run when overwhelmed
still i tapped away into endless
nights when only the lonely
cannot sleep

we came to a laser light show one
night, me and these 3 hoodlum bots
the object of the parlay was a pearl
call it wisdom if you want

all eyes were on the ugly as wisdom
shot him down with a wild flurry
of light show dismay

the bad stood there with a frown
knowing this was not gonna be one
of his best days as all he had was
a neon lasso

that's when the good raised his laser
high and with aim straight and true
truer than the blue coming out of
howlin wolfs guitar
the good he shot that bad bot down

i sit here now in limbo a reflection
of the humanoid i once was
all the time knowing that on the horizon
it's only the beginning of
the cyber bot world to come
