thank you

I thank the clouds, while driving sometimes,
and praise the rain, when I remember to...
liquid sunshine, I say, hinting to days gone by,
the smile remains, yet every morning is anew

and the flowers don't really need any arranging,
this point of view, even the weeds can see...
they say beauty hides in the eye of the beholder,
thus, ordinary, doesn't mean that it has to be

the sun puts its rays away at a desirable hour,
but then rises at my favorite part of the day...
what has it seen, that is hiding behind my eyes,
how could it know that I was looking that way

I thank the clouds... thank the trees and grass,
a warm welcoming can be felt, if you just try...
don't think of it or write about it, say the words,
and don't be in such a rush to receive a reply

thank you doreen many times

yes it's true, this little thing I do,
gratitude, you see, is an attitude...
which implies that we recognize
mother earth... for all her worth

it's quite allright, share the delight,
this give and take is no mistake...
to be disinclined is to be misaligned
and to be set afar from who we are

peace

"...and the flowers don't really need any arranging"

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. .."

Your quote reminded me of this. One of my favorites from the Bible.

Like your poem. Nice.

No, thank YOU.
