Basho had his frog

Post by the mingo » February 4th, 2015, 4:25 am

basho had his frog
bukowski his wine bottle
i'm damn near starving
for something else
anything beyond this stifling stink
of same & same
this routine -
not that there ain't things to be said for routine
it has its compensations
but ...
this mild survival not to be settled for
vs. even one moment of real life
thank God for each of us to be granted this :
what the imagination wants
imagination creates
& he is most to be pitied
whose own life
is not his greatest entertainment
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

much to ponder here mingo.....enjoyed the ride
I think we know this isn't our practice life
but the world can be so unkind some days
especially to those growing long in the tooth
many great thinkers that I admire feel adaptability
will be your greatest asset in the quickly emerging future

imagination should never be taken lightly....it has unlimited potential
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
