when critics take over

Post by revolutionR » April 29th, 2015, 1:53 pm

When on a poetry site
and someone writes a beautiful poem
and some critic says that it was spoiled
because the woman who wrote it from Africa
did not place one punctuation mark between I and LL
and the owner of the site, does not see how
insulting that is, really, to make a big deal out
of a punctuation mark, as if this wonderful poet
this woman from Africa really needed this person
to say that it spoiled it for him, this is a travesty
a mark between a two letters, does not spoil
the poem, that otherwise would be a "little gem"
as the anal critic said, which even makes it worse
because it was so obviously a smirk, about that mark

Yeah. Like saying a forest is "spoiled" by a bit of missing bark on a single tree.

Jeez, a missing dot is not the only thing spoiled around there . . .
