static cling blues

Post by saw » September 20th, 2015, 5:59 pm

I wonder how many times
I've folded my laundry, at least
once a week, 52 weeks a year
decade after decade after decade
folding... folding.....folding'....
shaping the warm cotton,
creases in my clothes have morphed
into creases in my face,
so many years of my life
lost in the blues of static cling
no softener to ease the pain
a wired fabric... charged and ready
to slip inside of....no regrets
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
