can't always find the answers
in a google search or a day trip
to the library, sometimes what you're looking for
is sitting in your gut hanging out with the good bacteria

and trusting that gut isn't a leap of faith
it IS faith, in its purest form, tuning in
to the frequency with zero static, a measured journey
into the soul, I know I know, some folks don't like

the word soul, think it's a cheap suit and a bad tie,
but I like it, why get hung up on semantics, that's
like a side of beef getting pounded by rocky balboa
what's the point ?......soul is the totem pole you carve

the painting that paints itself, soul is the personal truth
that lives within, friend to the pro-biotics
and white blood cells, user friendly and just waiting
for you to notice, so turn off the television, even

the prairie home companion, put war and peace back
on the shelf, it's been over-analyzed to death, feel the gurgling
fire in the catacombs of your belly, sing a little song
by sam and dave, feel the genius of isaac hayes, the blues

brothers, ...did you ever wonder
where the soul resides ?
your soul has a hip little room
in your intestines

it's a good word, soul,
of the physical I don't know, though,
but humans are a dual aspect creatures... in ways,
a feeling boils down to information,
information is sent and received... or stored,

I spose the feeling is a result of information being passed...
from one aspect to another, from consciousness or thought, to
the physical... a vibratory phenomenon perhaps,

that's what I feel anyhow...
