the breaks are black and blue

Post by saw » November 22nd, 2015, 2:03 pm

there's no depression in the hood
it's just called life
and life is hardcore, affluence
never gets the blues, the best
y'all can ever get is the blahs
sheeeet, you rich people go
to the freaking shrink cause you're bored
'cause you got health insurance
you spill your class ennui on the couch
like ashes from cuban cigars
and I ain't talkin' about the real deal
like that PTSD shit all them poor soldiers get
I'm talking about your incessant whining
that ain't the blues man ! that's the blahs
for people with roofs over their heads,
so you see you can't have the blahs brother
unless you can afford it, otherwise
it's just called the breaks
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

"like ashes from cuban cigars"

if them ashes is fallin' off easy, that ain't no cuban you're smokin'. cubans hold on nice and takin' a little bit of care they'll hang on all the way down to the nub.

lol, nice write
When we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard or welcomed. But when we are silent, we are still afraid. So it is better to speak. ~ Audre Lorde
