The Singing Moon

I did not know the moon was silent
until some one told me
I had always heard it sing until then
Now it slips away like the wind
how can an old man be satisfied
that he is just a laughing boy?
with out knowing how
give me a pocket full of pretty stones to hold
and I will show you green diamonds
If you will look deeply into my travelers eyes
I will take you to my hidden gate of dreams
into the forest of the evening
to sit beneath the witches tree
