Seasoned to Resist

Post by hester_prynne » August 19th, 2004, 9:51 am

We are written on the walls
in fate's faded print.
I saw it.
It said you and me,
in dancing jester letters,
vintage lithographs,
in reddish gold, glinty tones.

We beat around
a shared drum,
circling, like shy eagles,
stalking, a divine
and universal chord,
irresistibly drawn,
seasoned to resist.

I don't understand this but I like it.
(It looked lonely here without a response.)

Thank youse, Puff and Abstroint for your posts, and positive comments.
It's scary for me, posting a poem in a new place. I'm shy myself, like a circling eagle I guess, stalking acceptance.

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

I have a bunch of face books- " Shelia denial, jana livingston, peace livingston.. Pick any one- makes getting to know people rather mysterious- isn't it-
Actully speaking might be pleasurable as well-
Maybe we would write on a starry night- contesting church and state- ???
