Dragon's Tail

Post by mtmynd » March 22nd, 2016, 4:38 pm

Dragon's Tail

let peace come to you
let it rise up within
the feeling of fullness,
never overfed, you feel
the serenity swelling
and bide your time with

three candles lit in grace
while the incense rises high
into the airs you breathe
capturing this one-time oneness,
a rarity of comprehension
too beautiful to explain...

who would believe you anyway
as you smile with knowing
your eyes glowing from inside
releasing a warmth of understanding
to all that stand by you nodding
in appreciation at what you’ve given...

rising slowly off the rug
you stretch your awareness
dropping the doubt of flight...
nobody is there to catch you
as you continue sailing
for the space is infinite
no matter what stands in the way

your journey eclipses all logic
you now have the tail of the dragon
clenched between your teeth,
not hard, you drip your enthusiasm
over its tail and get a free ride
there’s nowhere you cannot go...

you have it and you
cannot put it in words

The poem holds one of those moments of clarity that we are sometimes blessed with just on the edges as indeed we can not put them into words, The poem does share that it happens, almost transcending the explanation into example .

the journey towards quiet contentment is alive here, and the reader can feel the calming effect of someone comfortable in their skin....even the dragon's skin can be useful
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

thank you- nice
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
