Courthouse

Post by creativesoul » April 8th, 2016, 11:24 am

Terror and pain
Stepped on dreams and hopes
The economy of skin
Stretched tightly around
Her neck like an embilical cord
She cannot breathe

She divorced him in this building
Got a restraining order
Went to Hawaii

But the pain was hiding in this building
Waiting for the day
When tears fell down the stairs
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Hits home like a hammer ,love can hurt so much , the poem is so close and personal. I can understand how a memory can come alive and how deep disipointment and sarrow can go .

places can trigger emotions that we might not have expected...any time we are forced to relive anguish, it can be just as real as the original events....perhaps these are tests to see what we have learned
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I am so grateful that I am not there now- I thank you for hearing my pain- but really ..
I just wanted to love and be loved
And that I was eager
I refused to see
So much
Love lives in me now
My dog agrees
That I have been a better person since I asked love to live within me
