Yesterday knocked on my door.
I answered to let him in. He didn't
know exactly why he was there
but cautioned me to listen to his advice.
Twice he told me to shut up
when I started to speak.
He made me feel weak and unworthy.
He led me outside at midnight.
He pointed to the stars and
Venus rising, lights pouring from millions
of years away to finally arrive to my eyes
and he said, in an extremely gruff and dramatic
voice:
"It is your choice to be here.
Watch the river, dear.
I am gone soon but will be back
the same as you."

Re: Yesterday knocked on my door
when yesterday knocks, he usually has something important to say....makes sense to heed the advice....for it is just for you....

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
