A Commuters Dream

Post by WIREMAN » June 20th, 2016, 7:34 pm

......this piece was inspired by a sign in Gaithersburg, Md. advertising big town homes along the train tracks...you can see I quickly changed my outlook on the subject 8)

A commuters dream,
Looming megaboxes spied
from the train.

A commuters dream,
Dozing off, then awakening
to virgin forests.

A commuters dream,
Was that a dog or a coyote
spying those Canadian geese
in ravenous rapture?

A commuters dream,
We're pulling into Germantown
as the breeze rustles through
willow trees.

A commuters dream,
A Victorian mansion sitting
lonely and lost in the deep
woods.

A commuters dream,
Knee high corn. Endless,
magical wooden realms.
Then "Dickerson!", the conductor
announces. A little picturesque
depot off the beaten path.

A commuters dream,
Passing through red rocks,
then looking at the muddy
Monocacy river 100 feet below.
I feel as if I'm suspended in air.

A commuters dream,
A lone deer standing on a
field boulder, taking it all in.

A commuters dream.
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

When the dreaming becomes strong enough it conjures the realities ,the poem goes deeper and deeper into the journie I am with the old ways now . I appreciate the visions .

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

it's like a dream for sure...each mile another facet of the imagination between r.e.m. and twilight.....like rooms in the mansion perhaps....new scenery to chew on....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
