airplanes crashed on the moon

Post by revolutionR » November 1st, 2016, 9:35 pm

airplanes crashed on the moon
or they might as well have
for all we know, for all we care
nothing makes any sense anymore
we have some sense that something
once made some sense,

who wants to think about the unthinkable
does anybody know who or what is running
this joint, what is an Orwellian future
are the poets the canaries in a coal mine
of language

it is now against the law to collect rain water
on your own property
or to grow a garden in your front yard
they threw the bankers in jail in Iceland
there must be some good poets in Iceland
they call themselves poeticians

when all the politicians are all in the pocket
of special interests, and everything is polluted
it does not just happen because people are dumb
it happens because the dumbness is all part
of a plan, we are not in Kansas anymore

poetry is not part of the plan
poetry is perhaps a last remnant of higher
intelligence, where memory by some hidden artifact
of knowing allows fragments of our real origins to speak

spot on.

the Kings of Chaos and Confusion are working in tandem to test hu'manity that grew passive and sure of themselves in the 20th Century which daily shows us we're not what we think we are.

Thank you for reading, I'm not sure about reporting actual events but for some reason the insanity in the world when placed in a poem seems somehow less insane. Not sure I believe that, but I'm still not sure why I became a poet in the first place. I just needed a way to look at the madness that rules the minds of the powers that be.
