open windows

Post by saw » November 15th, 2016, 11:49 am

can a man ever be
fully expressed, will words
dry up one day
like fields without rain,
or will man be headstrong
say the same things over
and over again with only
twists of new flavor, droplets
of new morning dew...
that moisten porch dreams in righteous
eye flutter

beads of sweat from rockers rocking
is it all just regurgitation
or are the nuances enough
little sparkles of new light
in crevices once ignored
by the limitations inherited,
I don't know...I hope my
selfish desires are met
in the collision of determination
and desperation. I hope
fresh concepts will feel fresh
like homemade bread

cooling naturally on the window sill
no fear from predator bugs
or wolves in grandmas nightgown
screen-less air comes into us
the window is truly open
propped up with a carved stick
the outside has come in
wafted over the top of our heads
our words are prismatic light
with aromas from the ancient sun
eat up brothers and sisters
sate yourself in the efforts of a messenger slave
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
