Crickets already

Post by Doreen Peri » September 12th, 2017, 11:45 pm

Crickets.
Already.

In September.

Seems like just last year
I was 30.

Grandchildren run up to the house
for ice cream cones.
Soon, the snow capped hills.

Two laugh on the porch,
handing out sprinkles.

Then soon, September.
Crickets already.

drove across the mountain
looks like fall
smells like fall
but this is Arizona
seasons measured by thermometer

we ain't there, yet

summer flew....
a restless bird
flying into a changing sky
the music we care about
will give us hope,
the words from the collective consciousness....

good to hear them doreen 8) 8) 8)
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

to the ground
patterns of scatter

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

So much beauty
Nice poem
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
