chatting with Pinot Noir

chatting with Pinot Noir
she had this crazy notion
there should be a manual
better than disparate thought
a how-to to contentment
'cause she can't get no....satisfaction
I pictured Mick tossing a Camel non-filter
into the loo with a sheepish grin
she said adult angst should come with instructions
the Ikea version with pictures instead of words

none of that really matters I said
stardust will return home to the sky
carbon will come home to the earth
love is so worth the time we often kill
too busy following some old capitalist guru
with a book created to bring you on board
sister, somewhere in the deepest sea
is a creature no one has ever seen before
human eyes with their pomposity would pop
out of their head, only to freeze like looking
at Medusa, outside this goofy life we think
is significant, this breathtaking terrestrial flower
is blooming not for any human being to see

she said I'm scared of the future

I said.... then just live for today
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

We're all afraid of the future. By living for today, we are to the future before we realize looking back on a past that has shaped us for better or for worse. Interesting read.

thanx Ann...a lot of time is spent predicting the future from Tarot card readers to scientists...and in the end, it's all just a big crap shoot... 8)
