I get there

Post by saw » October 26th, 2017, 10:11 am

oh those days
wheel-spinning
mental roulette

quicksand of the mind...

you sink like a muzzled dog.

chariots with spiked neurons,
El Cid mowing down
the scenery

seemingly getting nowhere
the cerebral treadmill whines like
the baffler on call

technically you're
in the same place

spiritually

you find yourself...

in a strange new garden
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

* 8) * - I'm still finding new things in the old garden - at least we are being kept busy * 8) *
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Our bodies might be aging, but discovery born of curiosity's gotta help keep the gray matter alive & fresh. Dementia runs in my family, and I'll be goddamned if I'm going to meekly accept it as my legacy. If it happens, it happens, but it won't be because I spend my days talking back to the TV.

writing in studio 8 has been anecdotally proven to expand brain cells and enrich well-being.

in a strange new garden
our gardens forever new
the more we tend
the more sow
until that last seed
is planted deep down
deep down
