Old Buick

Post by the mingo » November 4th, 2017, 3:29 am

Chip dragged that old Buick
back in the woods & left it there

years later I found it
got into it
pretended I was driving
a hornet dropped down from beneath the dash
stung my ankle

I couldn't fucking believe the pain
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

nasty critters
I got stung by a dead one
stepped on it barefoot
must have activated the ovipositor muscle
couldn't put a shoe on that foot the next day

well if it's hornets we're sharing
i had 4 living in my puppet studio.
i'd open the door, eager to get into things, and the buzzing would start.
yesterday, four of 'em just sitting in wait when i opened the door
i turned on the light - only four, no nest in sight.
so i turned off the light, opened the door and sure enough, they flew out and left me, my paint, foam rubber and contact cement in peace.

i locked the door on the session and hope that'll be the end of my contribution to this thread.

Despicable creatures. Does anyone actually like these little spiteful hellions? ... But nature was never a popularity contest, was it?

there is a reason the expression, 'mad as a hornet" came to light....i was helping my dad one day back in the woods....he had some old fencing covered with a tarp....I ripped it open and saw the disturbed nest and began to run...I ran about fifty yards as fast as I could go....when I turned around to see if I had escaped, one stuck me just under my eye....those fuckers are crazy !
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
