My Table ( Psalm 23 )

Post by the mingo » February 8th, 2018, 9:35 am

my table
framed photograph, potions in bottles,
small metal cup, empty wrappers -
- a slim book of poems
written by dead Japanese women -
a plastic key to money
a phone

I have a fire going
so I get up once every while
to tend it

4 a.m. car goes by
cat passes into the next room
she is looking for something

fire going strong now
the next storm approaching
from the west
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
