fences and mountains

Post by saw » April 10th, 2018, 6:52 am

a subtle turn
bottom lip twisted
feng shui of emotion
i see too much in a face
this curse of clear vision
when myopia would do just fine
my legs shakes
my heart implodes
someone you thought you knew
ha, what does any man know
he knows what he thinks
he knows, that's all
nothing more. nothing profound
she crawls through the tunnels
when the bridge would do just fine
finger-holds etched with acid
desires fall short
the plunge is headlong
sometimes mending fences
just means stringing more barbed-wire
for ones you loved
they are the original wranglers
that think border fences are a good thing
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

it can be jarring when you think the two of you
are going somewhere
but then you aren't
they're walking with wounds

i have a cat
first day i had her, she bit thru my thumbnail
1st year, she slapped the hell outta me
3rd year, i could touch her fluff of a tail
5th year, i could touch her back
8th year, she came and sat on my chest
9th year, she purred
10th year, she's a sweetheart. except when she isn't.

and cats are easier than people.
never count on anything
and have patience
is all i can say
she crawls through the tunnels
when the bridge would do just fine
so clear, good

humans and their relationship to cats
an age old tale of trying to make it work... 8)
