It’s hot out- it’s bikini weather- they say in California big breasted blondes are out washing the cars while the neighbors display symptoms -of voyeurs- “ the rumor is that everyone in California wants to be beautiful and in the film business -“ until you are that - and then - not-.. I’m a total freak - I sort of just do what I do- and the Tesla drivers - and movie stars roll through-and old people that come for the winter are really nice— I have a couple of generations next door of the real deal family- I like it- I like it that grandpa sits or sleeps on the covered porch- that somehow there is purity in the harmony they exude- the grandmother does needlepoint on the porch- lots of children- they lay under the large oak trees on hot days—

Here in Chile- Santiago- my sons apartment looks down on a hole that was taken truckload at a time-
The sound of construction at - early morning hours with coffee and a cigarette
No swimming pool over there either plenty of people
Wanting a part of that life; hide in plain sight
There were small little men with hard hats
Jogging past the big hole
Looking down
Town is a few miles off- the skyline is magical
The Andes
- and bright orange sunsets that look like the sky is on fire

I've never been to Chile, it's not on my bucket list either - I been down the road, does that count? The sun has not reached its northernmost point on its arc - me neither - I ride my bike around & around, my orbits mostly back roads these days - I have a notion of riding my bike across the Adirondacks all the way to Burlington, Vermont. We'll see. What the hell brought you to Chile. Jana? Last I remember you were in Oregon. Chile long gone from Oregon. O shit, that rhymes! Any Hollywoods in Chile?
