with wry senses of humor,

sitting in a basket by the front door

we all need a little ice water
from time to time, over the head
the doldrums aren't congas or bongos
but they can be played

to visitors in the night sky
voices in the autumnal daze
when leaves of paralysis fall

to decompose,
the glorious cycle of rebirth....
my church is the forest, the pews
are trampled earth, the choir are avian
cardinals, not the stuffy red robes of dead religions
the sermons are delivered in LSD clouds,
psylisibin sunlight filtered through pine
you won't be saddled by crippling debt
earth school is free, so lace up your boots

grab your walking stick
leave your clingy ennui in the La-Z-Boy,
listen for the school bell in your skull
don't be a tardy fool.....
hit the ground hiking

the minions of trumpland and CNN
for the woodsy aroma
of real life....
