women drifted into Key West
like waves rolling up on the sand
seems in 1969 hitchhiking was rather safe
and many were running from uninspiring lives
up north, in the midwest
you name it, there was this mass exodus
hippies in printed cotton summer dresses
and pigtails down to their waist
she had this terracotta skin
native american volcanic glass eyes
I say this to emphasize
she was way beyond the margins
I mean, she was far too obsidian
top to bottom
to categorize as 100% animal
she had a little vegetable in her
and a lot of mineral
I knew i was going to like this town
recollections ( or maybe not )
recollections ( or maybe not )
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
Re: recollections ( or maybe not )
Long after the media forgot or ignored the "hippie" I often would speak to other like minds as "Back when Hippies ruled the world!" Not that we ever did but I reckon being stoned and sharing amongst each other it seemed all our fellow seekers were all there was...saw wrote: ↑May 17th, 2019, 9:09 am

I enjoyed this and your imaginative adjectives were, quite frankly, terrific!

More! Oh I liked that-
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

The Irish Sea Is Always In Turmoil, Even When Calm.
