Poetry for those that HATE
awoke with a start
hate is infectious
opinions rampant
and yet
no thing changes
every earthly disaster
breeds contempt
plagues, wars, differences
and yet
nothing changes
faces on the tube
spouting wisdom
"our side is the best!"
and yet
hang change
yin yang goes round
karma kicks back
recoil from hate
and yet
change happens
looking for solace
space to reflect
understand compassion
and yet
all is changed
I am changed
you are changed
we are changed
and yet
evolution/revolution = change
[no matter what our opinions are, what we believe, what side we choose to take... we all share ONE thing...our humanity. Be kind to yourself, be kind and spread the healing salve of understanding...]

I believe we have a hell of lot more in common than not
this divisive split works for only the very wealthy that loves to see 2 sides bickering
so we don't all look at them.....our petty differences makes us impotent
and in the end they really are petty
we all want good schools, safe streets, good health care, good jobs, access to good education, to feel heard
sure we can argue about Roe v Wade and what the flag means
but when we get too caught up in being right, we miss out on all that good stuff we all agree on
you would think a pandemic would bring us all together, yet armed men stormed the state house in Lansing
some folks are trying to profit from death
and yet i have seen this wonderful spirit of giving as well
and so with children and a grandson I must remain hopeful that spirit will overtake the bad actors
thanx for the poem...good to see you around again
