positive friction

Post by saw » September 23rd, 2021, 10:00 am

I want to be positive
carry the real world like Atlas
on my stooping shoulders, spin it
on the tip of my finger like a Harlem Globetrotter
spinning so fast, so complete, it feels less miserable,

because I understand the power of a single negative thought ....
It takes practice, an ability to draw comparisons
from drawing art, one turn toward gratitude
for all that is going well
is equal to one painting that you really like

a keeper....
perspective perspective
such a slippery eel
it really can slip right through your fingers
wriggle back to the sea

where the opaque water
hides your intentions
doesn't give you a clear view
and your thoughts get murky
you may feel overwhelmed at times....

extracting a ounce of good
from a mountain of plastic litter
can be a real bitch
it's Battle Royale....
but a fight worth fighting
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Oh yeah I like that
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

when you know the imagery in your head speaks your soul
but the words you try to paint it with just fall short
no matter how you rearrange them
like completing a jigsaw puzzle
with pieces of another mixed in
.
