did i sound like i was kidding :?:
i might have been but felt like i was listening to a beat dream
i never put much effort into interpreting dreams, but the vivid dreams i remember many of them accompanied by feeling of relief something worked out below consciousness down in the brain stem a reflex of relaxation of tension.

I'm past due for a bucket list. The notion began last summer to go around in my head of riding part of the Erie Canal Trail, say from Syracuse to Palmyra
to the west or Syracuse to Rome in the east - now, in the middle of winter with snow and hail hitting the windows I'm getting worked up about it - of bringing a daydream into reality -

Now, about your poem ... in the movie Purgatory Billy the Kid is rolling up his sleeves as he says "Down the hole is down the hole, might as well have a little fun on the way"
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
